Showing love to those where we live
At KKP, we believe in the power of community. Our Local Initiatives are designed to help children feel loved, seen, and valued. Right here in York County.
Foster Community
We believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and loved—especially those navigating the uncertainty of foster care. We partner with local organizations to provide tangible support and encouragement to children and families in the foster care system. We aim to remind these children that they are never forgotten. Our mission is to bring comfort, dignity, and joy to those experiencing one of life’s most difficult transitions.
Local Elementary Schools
Education should be a doorway to opportunity—not a barrier. That’s why we invest in local Title 1 elementary schools, where many children face economic hardship. Whether it’s a new backpack, a warm coat, or simply a smile, our goal is to plant seeds of hope that grow far beyond the classroom. We also help fund a mentor program that pairs each child in the classroom with a caring adult from the community—someone who shows up weekly to build trust, support social-emotional growth, and remind them they are worthy of being chosen.
Teacher Appreciation
We believe teachers are everyday heroes—showing up, pouring out, and shaping futures with compassion and resilience. At KKP, we’re committed to uplifting educators through thoughtful gestures of appreciation throughout the year. From surprise treats and personalized thank-you notes to supply baskets and prizes, our goal is to remind teachers that their work matters and their impact is lasting. When we encourage those who educate, we invest in every child they reach.
